Chelmsford City Racecourse, located in Great Leighs, Essex, is one of the newest in Britain, and has fast become one of the busiest thanks to its All Weather Polytrack. The racecourse features bespoke made lighting and a Grandstand of pioneering design. In 2016 the racecourse was shortlisted for a prestigious architectural award. They called on Shout to add a dash of chic to their seasonal event calendar.
Chelmsford City Racecourse came to Shout with a brief to elevate its multi award-nominated event: Ladies Day. Ladies Day is a premium summer event, attracting high profile guests and music acts such as Simply Red and Rick Astley. Key to the brief was understanding the overall look and feel of the event, the clientele and target demographic.
Shout gained a thorough insight into the concept of Ladies Day and equivalent events held at Ascot and Derby. Armed with the right information, the team worked to create a brand that embodied the elegance, fashion and tradition of the day. Taking inspiration from the idea of the quintessentially English summer party, Shout created a vibrant and modern identity for Ladies Day. The beautiful logo and poster design was so successful that Shout have since created further event brands for the Racecourse.
